Job Description: We are seeking a talented Freelance Site Engineer to collaborate with our team in Durham. As a Freelance Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. From planning and coordination to implementation and supervision, you will be integral to project success.
Responsibilities:
Conducting thorough site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and specifications.
Collaborating closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to develop detailed construction plans and schedules.
Overseeing site operations to ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and high-quality standards.
Monitoring project progress and promptly addressing any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
Conducting regular inspections to evaluate work quality and adherence to project specifications.
Providing technical guidance and support to site staff and subcontractors as needed.
Maintaining accurate records of project activities, including progress reports, drawings, and documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
Proficiency in utilizing construction software and tools, such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and Total Station.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to decision-making.
Valid driver's license and flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
