A prestigious law firm based in London, renowned for its expertise in financial services and investment management is currently hiring. They are currently seeking a highly motivated Funds Associate with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their dynamic team.



Position Overview:

The Funds Associate will play a key role in advising clients on a wide range of fund-related matters, including the establishment, structuring, and operation of investment funds. This position requires a thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects of fund management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.



Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on the formation, structuring, and operation of various types of investment funds, including private equity, hedge, and real estate funds.
  • Draft and review fund documentation, including offering memoranda, partnership agreements, and subscription documents.
  • Assist clients with regulatory compliance, including AIFMD, UCITS, and other relevant regulations.
  • Provide legal support on fund-related transactions, including investments, divestments, and financings.
  • Conduct due diligence and prepare reports on fund investments and related matters.
  • Collaborate with other practice groups, including tax, corporate, and regulatory teams, to provide comprehensive legal advice to clients.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments impacting investment funds.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional client service and proactive communication.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including writing articles, giving presentations, and attending industry events.



Qualifications:

  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in funds law, ideally gained within a top-tier law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of fund structures, regulations, and market practices.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach.
