Senior Desktop Support Engineer - Up to £50,000 depending on experience.

Based in City of London - 5 days onsite.

I am representing an award-winning investment management organisation, who have an excellent track record of providing an industry leading service for their clients. They are looking for a Senior Desktop Support Engineer who will sits within the Infrastructure Support team.

Role and Responsibilities:

Deploy and manage software updates and patches using tools such as Microsoft SCCMnProviding technical support to end-users in person, over the phone, or via remote access tools.nTroubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues on VDI, desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.nInstall, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows 10), productivity suites (Microsoft Office), applications, and security software.nUtilize remote access tools (TeamViewer, Remote Desktop) to provide timely assistance to remote users.nSupport for collaboration and communications tools such as MS Teams, Email, Mobile coms.nCollaborating with other IT teams to resolve escalated issues and implement solutions.nInvestigating and troubleshooting critical vulnerabilitiesnDeveloping and maintaining documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials.nMentoring junior support staff and providing guidance on complex technical issues.nParticipating in the planning and implementation of IT projects, such as system upgrades and migrations where applicablenSetup and Support AV equipment for Meetings for all levels of staffnOn call rota (6pm - 7am) support every 3 weeks, on a shift pattern (Earlys/ Mids and Lates)

Key Skills and Experience:

Strong knowledge and experience of desktop operating systems, hardware, and software. Win 10, MS office Suite, Active Directory, Citrix, VDI and Exchange is essential.nFamiliarity with endpoint security software: antivirus, firewall.nKnowledge of software deployment tools: Microsoft SCCMnExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.nAbility to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.nWillingness to work overtime/ out of support as needed to meet project deadlines and support business operations.nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.nRelevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+)
