Responsibilities:nThe key role of the Credit Manager is to manage the cash collection and debt control function for the entire company portfolio through to legal stage in line with Credit Strategy and Policy.

The Credit Manager will report directly to the Head of Credit and Risk and be responsible for:-n· leading and developing a team of 10 Credit professionalsn· Monitoring and managing the efficiency of the teamn· Overseeing the administration of customer accountsn· Ensuring all accounts are settled when they fall duen· Overdue and aged debt is collected efficiently and effectivelyn· Reduce bad debt and minimise write-offsn· Take ownership of customer queriesn· Resolve difficult/sensitive customer situationsn· Liaise internally with other members of staffn· Provide management reports to the business

Essential criterian· 3 years Credit Control experience and Credit Management Experiencen· Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make commercial decisionsn· Experience in working in a target driven, results orientated and fast pace business environmentn· Experience in setting and reviewing individual and team performance targetsn· Experience in achieving and driving departmental KPI’sn· Experience in staff appraisals, training and developmentn· Experience in underwriting and the use of credit checking software and other systems to assess new and ongoing trade risks

Desired criterian· PQ Credit Management qualification at Level 2 or above, or equivalent recognised experiencen· Knowledge of the NI/ROI/Scottish legal systemn· Experience in attending debt recovery Court Hearings

Working hours:nWorking hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Due to the nature of the business work and availability outside of these hours will be required from time to time to ensure that business objectives are met.
