The Supplier Risk Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to supplier risk management.
Key Skills -
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for supplier risk management.
Prior experience in the energy sector, preferably within the public sector, is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent understanding of supplier risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and frameworks related to supplier risk management in the energy sector.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate supplier-related risks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to influence senior stakeholders to take action.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Professional certifications in procurement, risk management, or related fields are desirableKey responsibilities -
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimise the impact of supplier-related risks.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.
Design and develop comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) for supplier risk management, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives.
Implement and oversee the execution of SOPs to effectively identify, assess, and mitigate supplier-related risks across the organization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, legal, and compliance, to ensure the integration of supplier risk management practices into overall organizational processes.
Conduct thorough supplier risk assessments, evaluating financial stability and compliance with regulations
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes related to supplier risk management in the energy sector.
Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on supplier risk management processes, procedures, and best practices.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory authorities and industry associations, to stay informed about industry standards and best practices.
This role will require 2 days per week in the office - this location can be flexible, Bristol, Midlands or Berkshire
