Role Overview: As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in overseeing the shipping and freight forwarding operations of dangerous goods, both inbound and outbound. You will collaborate closely with various departments including planning, production plants, and customer services to ensure seamless logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the transportation and logistics of bulk and packaged dangerous goods, adhering to all safety regulations and compliance standards.
* Coordinate import and export activities, ensuring timely delivery and documentation accuracy.
* Work closely with internal teams to forecast and plan logistics requirements, optimising supply chain efficiency.
* Utilise SAP system for tracking, reporting, and inventory management, leveraging its capabilities to streamline operations.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders including carriers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
* Handle any issues or delays in transportation, implementing effective solutions to minimise disruptions.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in logistics coordination, particularly in handling dangerous goods shipments.
* Familiarity with international shipping regulations and compliance requirements for dangerous goods transportation.
* Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems is highly advantageous.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in managing complex logistics scenarios.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Prior experience with hybrid working arrangements is desirable.
