Our independent clients operate this high quality care-home in this leafy Leeds suburb, catering for up to 40 residents, providing breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinners for early evening meals, all made fresh in house, including all cakes and pastries, so a knowledge of basic bakery is a must.
Working within a 5 person team, with a Head chef and 3 KA's, everything is set up here to allow you to succeed, from the quality of the kitchen, to the fresh food menu's which you will be asked to contribute to designing, to the industry leading support and compliance procedures, everything is in place to allow you to be at your best every day.
The ideal Sous chef candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience working in a fresh food led kitchen as a Head chef, be it in a care setting, gastro pub, restaurant or hotel.
  • Experience in the management of teams in a fast paced kitchen environment
  • Health & safety procedures including control of substances harmful to health (COSHH) and food safety standards
  • Proven chef and people management experience.
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements for older people
  • Working with fresh seasonal produce
  • Baking and Cake making
