Role Overview:

If you're ready to lead our clients schools RE department to new heights, we want you to join our team as the Head of Religious Education
Based in Northampton the school have excellent transportation links for both drivers and those that would require to use public transport. A 30 minute commute from surrounding areas such as Milton Keynes. Including various bus options, a lovely cycling route to the school and a large car park. They have been rated a ‘Good school’ by Ofsted with great facilities in the school for teaching.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of a dynamic and engaging Religious Studies  curriculum
Mentor and support a team of RE teachers, providing guidance, resources, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
Promote cross-cultural awareness and appreciation by integrating authentic cultural experiences, literature, and media into the curriculum.
Oversee the assessment and tracking of student progress in RE, ensuring that assessments are meaningful, fair, and aligned with learning objectives.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments
Monitor departmental budget and resources effectively, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization to support teaching and learning goals.
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider community, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
Fully Qualified Teacher status
Degree in Religious Education or a related field
Leadership experience or potential, with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving positive change.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Creative and innovative approach to curriculum design and delivery, with a commitment to student-centred learning.
Commitment to promoting religious literacy, interfaith dialogue, and moral education among students.
