Responsibilities

  • Assist the Regional Operations Manager and Operations Director in collating an annual forecast in keeping with company objectives.
  • Responsible for all work delivered within the Branch
  • Develop customer relationships and achieve commitments.
  • Achieve financial branch targets
  • Protect the company from financial or other loss
  • Lead and motivate operational, commercial, and support staff and develop the local team to ensure compliance is met with the group process while promoting company values.
  • Lead recruitment, induction, performance management, and development.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees by adhering to safe systems.
  • Work with the training team to ensure a well-functioning program of mandatory and development training is carried out.
  • Positively endorse the H&S culture and values and maintain close liaison with the H&S team on performance and audit results.
  • Report accident/incident investigations within 24 hours and respond promptly to any branch non-compliance.
  • Carry out periodic inspections to determine levels of compliance and ensure employees are competent to undertake all workplace activities.
  • Understand local customers’ needs to maximize relationships develop further work and take the lead on multi-branch contracts.
  • Review resources and ensure they are effectively allocated to meet programs.
  • Ensure effective and efficient mobilization of new contracts takes place.
  • Develop a subcontract supply chain to support contract delivery.
  • Ensure effective site reporting takes place and constructive Branch meetings are held.
  • Ensure work is delivered to achieve budgeted gross margin.
  • Complete a monthly contract portfolio report for review and contact the commercial team with any queries.
  • Report financial and non-financial performance of Branches monthly and monitor cost allocations within the Branch to ensure correct control measures are in place.
  • Manage invoicing disciplines within the Branch to achieve company debtor day targets and regularly check and audit purchases, and timesheets to deter fraudulent practices and control valuation of WIP to avoid over-valuation.
  • Propose and deliver annual forecasts in conjunction with the Business Development Team.
  • Work with the Business Development Manager to identify and develop new business opportunities, contribute to pre-tender submissions, review tender pricing levels, and deliver supporting documents and presentations.
  • Make resources available to assist the commercial team with the compilation of tenders, contribute to pre-tender submissions, and deliver supporting documents & and presentations as required.
  • Attend and contribute to Regional Management Meetings and national Meetings.
  • Conform to company bid strategy.
  • Seek self-delivery opportunities and Cyclical Painting contracts.
  • Completion of iHASCO-defined mandatory training modules


Qualifications

  • Professional industry Standard or equivalent
  • CMI L5 Certificate Management & Leadership
  • Pitman Excel – Advanced Users
  • CSCS card – Manager / Professionally qualified person
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Experience with Planned and Project works in Painting, Roofing, Flooring, Passive and Active Fire Protection, Multi-Disciplinary Fabric Upgrades, Retrofit and Energy Services, and Response Maintenance.
