Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting a national main contractor in their search for a Design Manager. The role is for a Design Manager, who can comfortably commute into Central London to assist the Construction of 2 Large RC Frame apartments with one being based in Notting Hill and the other being based in Camden. You will be required on site or in office 5 days per week. This will be on a temporary basis and may continue to a permanent contract.
Responsibilities for Design Manager
Ensure design compliance with health and safety, environmental and quality standards.
Cross ream collaboration with Design, Quantity Surveyors, Construction Manager, M&E team and wider site construction team.
Working with internal and external stakeholders, provide support for selection of design subcontractors, review design drawings and lead document design meetings.
Work with the manufacturing and site teams to ensure practical and robust design details in agreement with the construction team.
Communicate design opportunities and risks to the Regional Design Manager (RDM).
Requirements for Design Manager
Experience working in a Design Manager role with a developer or main contractor.
Experience working on residential projects.
RC Frame project experience.
Demonstrate experience in a design role within a main contractor enviroment.Fawkes and Reece are currently working with a main contractor based in London. They have recently been awarded a place on huge contractors framework where they came second out of 26 other winners. Aim of the framework is to produce 7000 homes in the next five years across Greater London. The pipeline value for this framework is £2.5 billion.
