Management (Community Services & Development) Highbury Community House Inc (Highbury House) is a charitable trust that operates a Community Centre and Early Learning Centre. The Community Centre offers room hire, classes, workshops, events, and much more.
We are currently looking for a dynamic Manager to lead a small team and connect with our fantastic community. To do so they will need to provide strategic leadership and be proactive in meeting the Highbury House mission of “enabling and nurturing our community to learn, share and find meaningful connection”.
This role has a high level of accountability to its stakeholders, such as Auckland Council, the Kaipātiki Local Board and other funders. A strong, hands-on approach is needed to develop and host events and activities for the community, and keep the centre humming.
Stakeholder Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong networks and relationships.
Community development: Develop and maintain engaging programmes relevant to the community.
Operations Management: Ensure processes and practises provide efficient day-to-day operation of the centre; and support the team to deliver the services.
Financial management: Methodical and reliable in managing projects, events and initiatives.
Highly efficient and effective in planning, prioritising and time management.
Energetic, self-motivated and committed to the Highbury House vision of having “a resilient, vibrant and thriving community”.
This role is part time/+30 hours per week. Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?
