The position of Warehouse Team Leader involves:

  • Monitor picking operations within designated area to ensure safety and performance are maintained in-line with company expectations and targets.
  • Accurate picking and dispatching of caged goods, working in a temperature chilled environment.
  • Leading a team of circa 3-5 warehouse operatives.
  • Engage with warehouse operatives to encourage best practice.
  • Take appropriate action via shift supervisors to ensure any system or facility issues affecting optimal pick rate are rectified in a timely manner.
  • Ensure warehouse operatives are following company procedure in terms of safety and picking operations.
  • Identify any empty pick faces and request stock replenishment via shift supervisors if not already triggered in system.
  • Monitor finished pick to ensure best practice in terms of caged goods, consolidation and security are followed to achieve maximum load fill without damage to customer products.
  • Carry out performance reviews and one-to-one meetings with direct reports as required to maintain company standards and targets.

Essential skills required for Warehouse Team Leader:

  • Previous experience of working within the warehouse/transport environment is essential.
  • Hold either a current Counterbalance or a Bendi forklift licence.
  • IT knowledge including warehouse management systems is preferred.
  • Be able to lead change, engage and communicate to the team.
  • Be able to identify and drive continuous improvement.
  • You will be leading a team remotely, experience of this is advantageous.
  • Previous customer service experience essential, over the telephone and on email.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

  • Hours of work are 07:30hrs to 19:30hrs, on a 4on 4off rota basis.
