As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of their Product Safety and Quality systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and relevant legislation.
Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain the site's quality assurance standards, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with the Quality Manager to develop and review processes related to food packaging safety systems.
Take charge of document control and maintenance of the Product Safety and Quality Management System.
Assist in the implementation of the internal audit programme to drive quality excellence.
Conduct inspections of packaging and artwork to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
Identify areas for quality improvement in both manufacturing and business processes, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Report any quality issues or concerns in a timely manner to maintain the highest standards.
Maintain an organised and efficient filing system for documentation.
Perform daily quality control inspections on the production lines to verify product compliance.
Collaborate with suppliers to address non-conforming products and drive continuous improvement.
Fulfil any additional responsibilities requested by the Quality Manager.Qualifications:
Strong written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sage systems.
Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Certified in HACCP/HARA is highly desirable.Skills/Attributes:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.
Solid understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
Knowledge of food legislation and the BRC Global Standard for packaging is a plus.
Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy.
