The Role

  • Deliver Engaging Lessons: Design plan and deliver inspiring English lessons tailored to the needs of students.
  • Develop Literacy Skills: Foster students literacy skills including reading writing speaking and listening.
  • Prepare for Success: Prepare students for success in relevant English qualifications.
  • Foster Creativity: Encourage creativity and innovation in writing and other forms of expression.
  • Lead the Department: Take on leadership responsibilities within the English department including curriculum development staff management and extracurricular activities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified English Teacher: With a passion for the subject and a proven track record of success in teaching English.
  • Strong Subject Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in English literature language and composition.
  • Excellent Classroom Management: Effective classroom management skills to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Inspirational Leader: Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities fostering a love of English and encouraging their creativity.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Willingness to work effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and create a supportive learning environment.
