GSL Education - London seeks an experienced English department lead to join their team.
About the Role
This comprehensive secondary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a skilled and passionate English educator to lead their English department. As Key Stage Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the English curriculum for assigned key stages.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the English department to achieve best practices.
- Support and mentor English teachers to improve student engagement and performance.
- Develop innovative teaching strategies to boost student outcomes.
- Organize English-related events and workshops for students.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, ideally in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in the English curriculum with ability to guide and support others.
- Passionate about English education and committed to student success.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is £31,650 - £55,000 per annum. Successful applicants must satisfy background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service. The school offers equal opportunities to applicants from all members of the community.
