Security & Weighbridge Officer

Great opportunity to work as a Security and Weighbridge Officer for G4S, a leading global security and outsourcing group, specialising in outsourcing of business processes in sectors where security and safety risks are considered a strategic threat.
G4S is recruiting for a Security Weighbridge Officer to work in Birmingham.
The rate of pay is £13.66 per hour.
This is a full-time and permanent role, working a mixture of days, nights and weekends.
*You must be comfortable using a PC and applications associated with a weighbridge program*

Your Time at Work
As a Security and Weighbridge Officer at G4S, a typical week will involve ensuring the safety of our customers' staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile.
*This position will be based in a busy gatehouse*
Other elements of the role will include:
- Greeting staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Conducting searches when required
- Gatehouse duties - logging vehicles in and out using a weighbridge program
- Patrolling of the premises - both inside and outside
- Dealing with any security incidents on site and completing relevant incident report forms
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. A good IT knowledge is also key.
We also welcome people who have worked previously in retail, travel, sales, recruitment or hospitality - jobs that rely on delivering great service. If you've done this type of work before, then you may have skills that would suit and as we provide full training, we'll help you pivot your skills into a new career.
It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA license, however it's not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) license training.
