Job Title: Security Officer - Warehouse and Distribution
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Logistics People. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our warehouse and distribution depots.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular and randomised searches on staff and visitors
- Conduct internal and external patrols of the site
- Ensure accurate logging of goods vehicles entering or leaving the site
- Maintain liaison with site contacts, colleagues, and management
- Monitor and operate equipment, including radios and email
- Assist in site evacuations and maintain strict data protection standards
- Carry out reasonable instructions issued by site management
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the security industry (1 year)
- SIA Licence (SG/DS) required
- UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle required
- First aid certification preferred
- Flexibility to work a mixture of shifts, including some at short notice
- Physical fitness to patrol effectively by foot
- Excellent customer service skills
- High standards of personal presentation and punctuality
- Computer/PC literacy
