Senior Business Analyst - Technology Compliance SME - Fenergo - £120,000 - Hybrid 3 days per week

Join an esteemed commodities trading firm positioned for remarkable growth. Our client, a global organization engaging in both physical and financial trading, fosters an entrepreneurial culture akin to a hedge fund.

Located in London, they are looking for a dynamic individual adept at bridging the gap of the technology and compliance functions.

Position Summary:

We're creating a new role for a Senior Business Analyst with a strong technical and data-oriented approach to bolster our technology compliance and reporting functions. This position will be pivotal in optimizing our KYC onboarding processes and beyond, utilizing data to streamline reporting and ensure regulatory compliance across our operations.

As part of this initiative, they'll be implementing Fenegro / Fen-X, though experience with other compliance vendors is also valued. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data streamlining, SQL proficiency, and a comprehensive grasp of compliance frameworks.

While familiarity with commodities is advantageous, it's not essential. However, hands-on experience with EU regulations like EMIR, DODD FRANK, and REMIT will greatly benefit the role.

Key Responsibilities:nLead the Fernergo implementation project, identifying essential data capture for various entities.nProficient understanding of client lifecycle management, KYC, and AML.nDevelop and maintain compliance reporting mechanisms, focusing on regulations such as EMIR, Dodd-Frank, EFET, and REMIT.nCollaborate with the technology team to align Fenergo product configuration with business needs.nCreate and interpret wireframes to enhance UI-driven configurations.nUtilize BI reporting tools for improved decision-making and operational efficiency.nEngage in projects extending beyond KYC to leverage data for streamlined reporting across the EU and other regulatory requirements.nWork closely with the technology department, utilizing SQL for data manipulation and queries.nOperate within a small team, demonstrating project management skills and leading compliance initiatives, given the pivotal nature of this role.

Qualifications:nProven experience as a Business Analyst in technology and compliance within financial services or commodities trading.nStrong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL and familiarity with BI reporting tools.nExperience with Fenergo or similar compliance and onboarding platforms is highly desirable.nAbility to comprehend and create wireframes and UI designs.nKnowledge of compliance regulations such as EMIR, Dodd-Frank, EFET, and REMIT.nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.nEffective communication and stakeholder management abilities.nExperience in the commodities trading industry is a plus, though not mandatory.

Employment Type: Open to Full-time or Contract (Speed is of the essence). This role is hybrid and flexible, requiring 3 days a week in their office.
