Senior Business Analyst

About the role:nPlatformX Communications powers the UK's Business Connectivity market. We offer flexible and user-friendly cloud and connectivity solutions to partners, with a goal to become the fastest growing provider of high bandwidths (1Gb+) and the top Connectivity Platform in the market in the next 5 years.nAs a Senor Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and vendors to gather and analyse business requirements and process. You will be working across a range of systems from our award winning 1Portal to our CRM system as well as web services and API’s You will also be a Leading member of the team supporting the Lead BSA with prioritisation, as well as mentoring the rest of the BSA team while driving process forward. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and can demonstrate attention to detail thorough planning.
Responsibilities:nPlan business analysis activities and manage communications to stakeholders.nConduct functional/technical requirement gathering sessions with business users.nWork closely with technical teams to design solutions and user stories.nAnalyse, validate and document existing business processes and map functional and non-functional requirements onto the to-be process model in order to demonstrate the impact of change.nBe comfortable in reading web service documentation and translate this into technical specifications for the development teams.nUse established tools and techniques to identify and document current and future state business processes.nPrepare IT & business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, review business processes and make recommendations.nProducing supporting documents for users and training.nWork with internal and offshore development team.nBeing involved with the full software development lifecycle through scope, plan, build, test and deployment.nMentoring other BSA’s within the teamnChampion and set Standards for ProcessnSupporting the Lead BSA with managing backlog and prioritisation
Essential for the role:nProven experience of working on IT systems to help make crucial changes and updates to systems.nExperience within a business analyst positionnStrong understanding of investigation techniques, stakeholder analysis and management, strategy analysis and requirement engineering.nKnowledge of using a variety of modelling & analysis tools, methods and standards (e.g. Business process modelling, use cases, writing User stories, root cause analysis).nExperience in full project lifecycle (Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies).nScope control and stakeholder management skills.nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organisation.nExperience of using software delivery tools such as Jira/Trello.nGood interpersonal and team skills.nExtremely proactive, highly organized, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks.nTo be able to drive and lead discussions both internally and with Stakeholders.nAlways looking for improvements both personally and within a team environment.nHave an understanding of the wider priorities of the business and the team.
