Aspire People is seeking dedicated and experienced SEN Residential Support Workers to join our dynamic team, supporting students aged 6-19 with special educational needs (SEN). Our settings, located in Derby, Burton, and Belper, provide a unique and enriching environment for both staff and students, featuring yoga, a farm setting, on-site dogs, rabbits, and other classroom animals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality support to students with Autism and other SEN needs, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
Work within a shift pattern, including some weekends, to ensure continuous support for our students.
Engage students in various activities, both educational and recreational, to promote their social, emotional, and academic development.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
Proven experience working with students aged 6-19, specifically those with SEN, including Autism.
Previous experience in educational settings is essential; applications without this experience will not be considered.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as part of a shift pattern.
A genuine passion for working with children and young adults with special needs, demonstrating patience, empathy, and resilience.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
