Job Overview: As a Learning Support Assistant specializing in humanities, you will play a vital role in supporting students within the classroom, ensuring that they receive the necessary assistance to thrive academically. Your primary responsibility will be to work alongside teachers, helping students with diverse needs in humanities subjects, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support in the Classroom: Assist teachers in delivering humanities lessons by providing support to individual students or small groups.
Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching materials to cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring an inclusive learning experience.
Individualized Support: Work one-on-one with students who require additional assistance, focusing on their specific needs in humanities subjects.
Behavior Management: Help maintain a positive and respectful learning environment by implementing behavior management strategies and supporting students' social development.
Collaboration: Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Progress Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs).Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 months of experience working in the UK education system.
Knowledge and experience in supporting students in humanities subjects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students and work collaboratively with teaching staff.
