Hours:
Site based, 37 hours per week, Mon-Thurs 7:30-16:00/Friday 7:30-12:30
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the Head of Quality, representing the company within the leadership team to achieve business goals and maintain a safe working environment.
* Ensure full contract compliance across the organization, meeting customer, regulatory, and organizational requirements to deliver superior customer satisfaction.
* Manage third-party certification audits, customer audits, and supplier audits as required.
* Oversee the internal audit process, ensuring audits are completed on schedule and corrective actions are addressed promptly.
* Identify improvement strategies based on customer issues and QMS metrics to protect and enhance customer performance.
* Lead the resolution of customer complaints, ensuring timely corrective and preventative actions are taken and tracked to closure.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and risk management across all levels of the business.
* Chair quality meetings, report key metrics, and hold teams accountable for quality performance.
* Provide guidance on ISO9001 and IATF16949 compliance, ensuring the business adheres to international standards.
* Oversee the APQP process, ensuring compliance for new projects and reporting regularly.
* Manage departmental budgets and maintain the QMS with the support of all business functions.
* Empower all employees to stop production in the event of quality concerns and promote the quality message throughout the organization.
Health, Safety & Environment:
* Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
* Actively promote a safe working environment, challenging unsafe practices, and suggesting improvements.
* Support sustainability initiatives within the company.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
* Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
* Degree qualified, ideally in an engineering discipline.
* Membership with CQI is desirable.
* Lead auditor qualification in ISO9001 or IATF16949.
* Knowledge of welding processes is preferable.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and lean manufacturing skills.
