About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the Maintenance Engineer will be tasked with the provision of maintenance cover to the production departments, plant machinery and site facilities through the provision of effective reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
Main Responsibilities
* Planned preventative maintenance
* Reactive multi-skilled maintenance
* Maintaining machinery to OEM specification
* Identifying parts requiring further attention
* Recording work carried out
* Control maintenance tools, store and equipment
* Work within ATEX regulations
* Use problem solving techniques to deal with breakdowns
* Electrical fault finding, testing and repairs
* Prioritise breakdowns
* Engineer out recurring issues
* Supervise contractors working on reactive maintenance
* Fitting working on bearings and rollers
* Participate in projects to design, trial and implement improvements highlighted by the Management Team
* Lead projects to design, trial and implement improvements highlighted by the Management Team, working within a defined budget
* Continuous improvement activities
About you
To be considered for the role, it is essential that you possess demonstrable experience gained as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineering professional in a manufacturing setting. You will be time-served as a minimum in an appropriate discipline. You will be a dynamic and able to work without supervision, possessing a 'see it > fix it' attitude.
Key selection criteria
* 18th edition wiring certification
* Working knowledge of AC/DC motors and drives e.g. Bosch Rexroth, Lenze, Eurotherm, etc
* Working knowledge of PLC’s - Siemens, Allen Bradley etc
* Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Computer literate including use of Office tools
* Understanding of machinery and manufacturing process
* Good time keeping
* Good communication skills
* Team player
* Meet deadlines and targets
* Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-changing environment
