About the Role

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for providing maintenance support to the production departments, plant machinery, and site facilities through the provision of effective reactive and planned preventative maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Planned preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Reactive multi-skilled maintenance to address equipment breakdowns
  • Maintenance of machinery to OEM specifications
  • Identification and recording of parts requiring further attention
  • Control and management of maintenance tools, stores, and equipment
  • Work within ATEX regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Use problem-solving techniques to resolve equipment breakdowns
  • Electrical fault finding, testing, and repairs
  • Prioritization of breakdowns to minimize downtime
  • Engineer out recurring issues to improve equipment reliability
  • Supervision of contractors working on reactive maintenance
  • Fitting and working on bearings and rollers
  • Participation in projects to design, trial, and implement improvements highlighted by the Management Team
  • Leadership of projects to design, trial, and implement improvements, working within a defined budget
  • Continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment performance and efficiency
About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you possess demonstrable experience gained as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering professional in a manufacturing setting. You will be time-served as a minimum in an appropriate discipline. You will be a dynamic and able to work without supervision, possessing a 'see it & fix it' attitude.

Key Selection Criteria:
  • 18th edition wiring certification
  • Working knowledge of AC/DC motors and drives (e.g. Bosch Rexroth, Lenze, Eurotherm, etc)
  • Working knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc)
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Computer literacy, including use of Office tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of machinery and manufacturing processes
  • Man management skills
  • Good time-keeping
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with relevant persons
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment
  • Operate MEWP (preferred but not essential)
  • PASMA trained (preferred but not essential)
  • Working at height (preferred but not essential)
