Head of RE and Philosophy - Barnet

Are you an experienced Religious and Philosophy Education Teacher with QTS who is seeking a full-time role for September 2024?

This role working in an exciting school in Barnet might be just right for you

About the role

We are working with the school to recruit a Teacher who can commit to the position and take on a HOD role, this is a permanent position teaching both KS3 and KS4/5 starting in September 2024.

The school is focused on providing the highest quality of education, and all members of staff are expected to strive for excellence in everything they do. The students consistently attain high standards and their behaviour in lessons and around the school is good.

  • This school believe in progression and support for its staff and pupils alike
  • The scheme of work for RE is based on Catholic Assessment and Inspection
  • It is important for the school the right candidate is someone he can see growing into a leadership role and who is passionate about driving their RE Results up and drive the RE Curriculum forward - as it's a core subject due to it being a faith school.

About you

  • QTS with a RE specialism

  • Experience teaching RE at KS3 and KS4 in a secondary school

  • Proven background of high pupil progress

  • A real desire to make a positive difference to the pupils you work with
