Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Impact Assessment Analyst or Social Value Economist to join our client's Business Case & Impact Assessment Team. Your role will revolve around deepening their understanding of the environmental and economic impacts of emerging technologies across multiple domains, including mobility, the built environment, and decarbonisation. This role will require 2 days a week on-site from either London, Farringdon or Milton Keynes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive economic impact analysis on diverse topics to understand the societal, environmental, and economic effects of new innovations.
Support the design of Impact Assessment Work Packages and collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams.
Develop and apply social value economics evaluation and appraisal techniques, utilizing the latest health, wellbeing, and environmental indicators.
Engage in impact mapping, data analysis, horizon scanning, roadmap development, and research to meet project needs.
Produce high-quality reports, analysis, charts, blog posts, and case studies to disseminate findings within the project team or to a broader audience.
Provide expertise and content support across various projects, while assisting colleagues with their initiatives.
Requirements:
A degree in economics or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Excellent statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use economic models and conduct statistical analyses.
Thorough understanding of economic theory and methods, enabling the analysis of complex societal benefits and impacts of new innovations.
Ability to present analysis results in high-quality written reports.
Familiarity with different evaluation designs and methods for collecting monitoring data.
Experience with the UK's ‘Green Book’ and ‘Magenta Book’ for evaluation or project appraisal.
An interest in technology and innovation, particularly in improving the built environment, mobility, wellbeing, and environmental sustainability
