Job Description:

As the Purchasing Manager, you will be entrusted with orchestrating a seamless procurement strategy, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and profitability.


Key Responsibilities:

In addition to the outlined responsibilities, you will also:


  • Foster strategic partnerships with key suppliers to optimize terms and conditions
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies within the supply chain
  • Lead negotiations for major contracts and vendor agreements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes
  • Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards
  • Analyse market trends and economic factors to inform procurement decisions
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive procurement policies and procedures
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the purchasing team, fostering professional development
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with organizational goals
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance to senior management


Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:


  • CIPS qualification (preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial negotiation and vendor management
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving acumen
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • A track record of driving results and achieving targets
