Connex Education is working to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a mainstream secondary school based in Bishop Auckland and surrounding areas.
About the school
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting KS3 and 4 Students within the classroom and on a 1:1 Basis
All staff at the school aim to provide pupils with a nurturing, engaging learning environment and are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who is hard working, resilient and wants to make a difference to pupils education by supporting them.
Assignment Details
This role will commence as soon as possible and will last for the remainder of the academic year.

Person Specification
  • Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH conditions.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must hold a DBS on update service or willing to apply for one.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt lessons as needed.
  • Good organization and multitasking abilities
