Job Opportunity for SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in Bishop Auckland. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs, providing individualized support and creating a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, adapting to their unique needs and abilities
  • Assist teachers in lesson planning and delivery, ensuring a tailored approach to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, promoting a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring pupils receive targeted support and make progress

Requirements:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or at least 6 months of experience working with SEN pupils
  • Experience working with SEN pupils and a strong understanding of their needs and challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
