About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager who is Nurse Qualified with an active Pin to support the Home Manager in a purpose-built care home designed for older people requiring residential and nursing care. This care home serves up to 94 residents, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's. We are committed to providing a supportive and enriching environment where residents can achieve their goals and develop their skills and confidence.
Job Overview
As a Deputy Manager, you will assist the Home Manager in ensuring that our team supports residents to achieve their goals and actively seeks out opportunities for them to develop skills and confidence through various community and staff involvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Support:
Assist the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care home.
Provide strong leadership, development, and support to the care team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Clinical Excellence:
Ensure high-quality care is delivered consistently, meeting all regulatory standards.
Use your clinical expertise to make autonomous decisions and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Resident Focus:
Promote and develop meaningful activities and community links for residents.
Support residents in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their quality of life.
Operational Duties:
Spend 28 hours in supernumerary roles and 12 hours working on the floor.
Manage and nurture staff, providing ongoing training and development opportunities.
What We Require From You
Qualifications:
Qualified Nurse with an active Pin (RGN/RMN/RNLD).
Previous managerial experience in a social care setting.
Skills and Attributes:
Commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Strong working knowledge of regulatory standards.
Excellent decision-making, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to lead, develop, and support a team effectively.
Flexibility and a strong can do attitude.
