An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor (NQ to Grade C level or equivalent) to join a well-established, forward-thinking legal practice, for their Leeds based team - please note this role can be offered on a fully remote contract, but you will be required to attend the Leeds/Northern office once a month. The Role The successful candidate will join a highly respected Clinical Negligence department, known for delivering outstanding results across a varied and complex caseload. The team includes nationally accredited specialists, and the work spans all stages of litigation – both pre- and post-issue. As a Grade C Solicitor, you will provide essential support to senior lawyers while managing your own caseload under supervision. You will be involved in the full litigation process, including drafting legal documentation, advising clients, negotiating settlements, and handling procedural aspects of litigation. The position also includes mentoring more junior colleagues and playing an active role in the development of the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated solicitor to further their career within a dynamic and collaborative legal environment. Key Responsibilities Manage a clinical negligence caseload from instruction to resolution, with supervision Support senior lawyers on complex cases Draft legal documents including letters of claim and letters of instruction Engage in litigation activity where necessary, including issuing and serving proceedings Liaise with clients, experts, and counsel as required Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior team members Ensure accurate and timely time recording Work to team and departmental performance targets Contribute to proactive and commercially focused case progression About You Qualified Solicitor (NQ–5 years PQE) or equivalent experience in clinical negligence Proven experience managing clinical negligence or complex personal injury files Strong drafting and negotiation skills Excellent attention to detail and time management Commercially aware with a client-centred approach Confident communicator with the ability to work well as part of a team Competent with case management systems and Microsoft Office What’s on Offer 35-hour working week Bonus scheme (performance-related) 35 days annual leave including bank holidays and Christmas closure, with the option to purchase up to 3 additional days Long service holiday entitlement after 5, 7 and 9 years Pension scheme with salary sacrifice option Life assurance policy Health cash plan (including optical, dental and wellbeing support) Enhanced parental leave policies including IVF support Company sick pay Flexible, hybrid working model Regular funded social events and team-building activities Monthly recognition vouchers Structured learning and development opportunities, including access to professional qualifications How to Apply If you're a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or equivalent with a passion for quality legal work and a desire to progress your career in a supportive, forward-thinking environment, we encourage you to apply now.
