The Role:
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join a successful international legal firm, becoming an integral part of the dynamic Finance team. This is 3 month fixed-term contract role, combining essential credit control support with a significant focus on sales transactional work.
As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will report to the Credit Controller. Your main duties will include:
Recording daily bank transactions in multiple currencies
Allocating daily bank receipts based on client remittances
Handling bank-related activities and administration
Completing forms from clients requesting company information
Monitoring shared email inboxes for remittances and client requests
Effectively communicating financial information with colleagues and external clients
Performing credit checks for new clients
Providing support and assistance to the Credit Controller and the Finance team
Participating in ad hoc projects
The Successful Candidate:
Experience working in the Finance function is preferred, ideally within a professional services environment
A keen interest in working in finance coupled with strong administration skills and experience can also be considered
GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics and English, and a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent qualifications (an AAT qualification, degree, or equivalent would be advantageous)
Proficiency in using MS Office
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Good verbal and written communication skills
A positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing daily requirements
Strong organisational skills
