We are searching for an individual with keen attention to detail and outstanding organisational abilities to join our team as a Finance Administrator.

In this role, you will provide essential administrative and purchase ledger support to the Finance team, supporting large residential and commercial construction projects.

**What you'll do**:
Your responsibilities will include assisting the Finance team in an array of different areas to ensure the smooth operation of the Finance department.

Your duties will include:

- supporting the team with accurate cash reporting by performing a daily bank reconciliation and regular monitoring of accounts receivable/payable - this process involves handling £5-7 million worth of transactions a month, and this volume is expected to grow substantially
- creating and maintaining supplier statement reconciliations
- reviewing and closing old orders on the system, working with stakeholders across the business to ensure records are accurate
- assisting with invoice processing, loading payments and generating expense reports
- the creation and ownership of the subcontractor insurance database
- assisting the team by answering phone calls and responding to enquiries in a professional manner, ensuring enquiries that require extra support are escalated to management in a clear and timely manner
- supporting the team by entering data into the system and maintaining financial records, which may include scanning documents and administrating the financial system
- assisting the Finance Director in the preparation of documents and other administrative duties as needed.

**What you'll need**:

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with strong data entry skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic financial principles is desirable.
- Experience working in a similar role for a residential housebuilder or developer is desirable but not essential.
