The Programme Finance Manager is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for leading and co-ordinating the financial operations, management and administration of our client's project portfolio and network of country offices.

Our client runs international Not for Profit and Charities projects across the world and are looking for someone to join their team in Bristol.
**Description**
The key responsibilities of the Programme Finance Manager involve:
- Support Head of Finance and Compliance on all aspects of the annual budget and regular re forecasting process;
- Ensure project budgets and forecasts are robust and meet requirements;
- Develop and refine project budget templates, and train the Regional Accountants and Programme Managers in their use.
- Work with Regional Programme and Fundraising teams to develop budgets for concepts/proposals, ensuring that budgets are complete and accurate, include appropriate cost recovery, and are consistent with the project design;
- Refine project budgets where necessary in the event of additional funding being secured part-way through a project.
- Review financial aspects of grant agreements with donors, and work with the Regional Programme teams and Accountants to ensure full compliance with grants (including e.g. procurement processes, cost eligibility, retention of supporting documents, etc.);
**Profile**
- Familiarity with charity accounting fundamentals, including fund accounting and Charities SORP;
- Ability to analyse financial data, identify key issues, and communicate them clearly and confidently to a range of audiences;
- Experience of grants financial management, including budgeting, compliance and reporting;
- An appreciation of the challenges that come with working in a medium-sized INGO with multiple donors, complex projects, country offices, and partners;
- A pro-active, "can do" approach to overcoming problems;
- Ability to handle a varied workload and work calmly under pressure, often juggling multiple competing priorities;
- Comfortable working with colleagues remotely and across multiple disciplines, building effective relationships and fostering a sense of teamwork and collaboration;
- The flexibility to travel overseas as required.
