Management Accountant/Assistant Management Accountant
Contract/Staff: Permanent Staff
Location: Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire

Our Client has a requirement for a Management Accountant/Assistant Management Accountant, who will be required to work on a permanent staff basis in Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire.
Role Purpose:
An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant/Assistant Management Accountant to join our Client in their Head Office, Thornton-Cleveleys. You will work across all of their business units: Engineering, Project, Precision, and Academy. This role involves supporting the Finance Director with minimal supervision.
Job Role Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly management information
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and year-end accounts
Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and support with year-end audit procedures
Processing bank reconciliations
Purchase Ledger functions, including processing supplier payments
Credit Control activities, including chasing overdue accounts
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes
Maintaining and improving financial systems and procedures
Performing any ad-hoc tasks or projects as required
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
Fully qualified or part-qualified AAT/ACCA/ACA/CIMA Accountant
Strong knowledge of Financial Management principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software packages
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Confident and proactive
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong time management and communication skills
