Contract Scotland are working closely with a general building contractor to source an Assistant Site Manager to start on a new-build project in Fife. Longer-term, you will cover projects across the Central Belt of Scotland.
You will work on a varied portfolio of building projects across a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare and residential. You will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of work ranging from around £1m-£8m in value.
As Assistant Site Manager, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Assisting in the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring they are safe, organized, and efficient.
- Working closely with the Site Manager to coordinate project activities, subcontractors, and materials.
- Monitoring project progress and quality, reporting any issues and suggesting improvements.
- Ensuring H&S standards are consistently met, and all site personnel follow safety protocols.
- Assisting in resolving any on-site issues or conflicts as they arise.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Demonstrable management/supervisory experience in a construction-related role.
- Knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing project needs.
A joiner to trade is preferred but not essential.
