We’re on the hunt for a Junior Video Producer / Editor who has a passion for video editing and filmmaking, along with enthusiasm for storytelling and video content production. This permanent part-time role (with the potential to become full-time) is perfect for a recent graduate, soon-to-be graduate, or freelancer looking to transition into a more stable, fixed position in the filmmaking industry. Based in Leicester , this role offers the chance to take your first professional steps into the creative world.
As a Junior Video Producer / Editor at Orange Fox Studios, you’ll work closely with our Managing Director, supporting both our studio and our clients in exciting ways. Your tasks will include:
Editing & Production:
- Prepping and setting up video editing projects
- Video editing of live projects
- Crafting content for our social media channels (reels, highlights, etc.)
- Ensuring films, projects and files are archived and backed up
Support & Logistics:
- Attending and contributing to creative brainstorming sessions
- Booking and organising voice-over recordings, crew, and actors
- Planning and coordinating logistics for film shoots
- On-site film shoot support
Administrative & Research:
- Conducting project research and gathering creative inspiration
- Maintaining and updating our freelancer databases
- Creation of mood-boards & storyboards
Your day-to-day will be varied, hands-on, and collaborative. You’ll have the opportunity to share ideas, work on exciting projects, and grow your skills alongside an experienced team.
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate, eager to learn, and ready to take on feedback to improve their craft. If you’re excited about a career in video production, this role is for you.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro) is essential and preferably we're looking for at least 2 years of experience. But, it’s not a deal-breaker – we’re happy to provide training to get you up to speed. Equivalent coursework or freelance work will be considered.
What’s most important is that you have a strong interest in video editing and see this as a career path you’re excited to pursue.
Essential Skills:
- Basic Video Editing Skills : Familiarity with editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar programs
- Organisational Skills : Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and projects efficiently
- Attention to Detail : A keen eye for detail in video edits and visual aesthetics
- Collaborative Spirit : A team player who thrives on working with others to bring a shared creative vision to life
- Problem-Solving : Ability to adapt to challenges and tight deadlines
- Communication Skills : Clear, concise communication with team members and clients
Desirable (but not essential):
- A degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Video/Media Production, Photography)
- Basic knowledge of video production equipment (cameras, lighting, sound)
- Experience with other Adobe Creative Suite programs (After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)
- Social media savvy with an understanding of video content creation for different platforms
- Research skills for identifying creative trends and inspiration

Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: £13 per hour (reviewed annually)
- Generous Holiday allowance: 30 days + bank holidays and your birthday off fully paid (pro-rata)
