Job Title: Video Editor

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Editor to join our team at UnHerd. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for producing, shooting, and editing high-quality video content that engages and informs our audience.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of video production, including experience with high-end camera and editing hardware. You will also have a deep understanding of the YouTube ecosystem and the ability to create compelling content that resonates with our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for our regular shows and other editorial projects
  • Work closely with our editorial team to develop and implement video content strategies
  • Collaborate with our studio team to operate our studio facilities and ensure smooth production workflows
  • Develop and maintain a strong news sense and ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in video production and editing

Requirements:

  • Deep technical knowledge of video production, including experience with high-end camera and editing hardware
  • Strong understanding of the YouTube ecosystem and ability to create compelling content
  • Expert proficiency with Mac OS and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Intimate knowledge of camera, audio, and editing hardware
  • Flair for creating stand-out video content
  • Knowledge of SEO and how to package clips
  • Understanding of how to promote video content
  • Strong news sense and understanding of the media landscape
