Banking & Finance Associate - 1-3PQE

Pure Search are instructed by a leading City law firm who are looking to expand their Banking & Finance team with an Associate hire at 1-3PQE. The Firm: Our client is a leading City law firm with an established and expanding Finance practice, with particular strengths in REF and Private Capital work. They have developed a reputation for development financing for landmark hotels across the UK and Europe, sports financing in connection with the development of international stadia and financing of a leading Premier League team on receivables, and energy financing across the Middle East and Africa. The firm represent an excellent long-term option for a junior associate, with the firm having a clear track record of nurturing and developing their lawyers, and promoting from within. The firm also offer an excellent work/life balance (sub-1500 hours), exposure to a range of international work, and one of the best bonus structures in the City (up to 40%). The Role: Joining a busy and tight-knit team, you will be afforded high levels of autonomy and exposed to clients from an early stage. The role will broadly cover a split of Real Estate Finance (40-50%) and Debt Finance, Fund Finance, Acquisition / Leveraged Finance, Corporate Lending and Debt Restructuring (50-60% combined). Responsibilities will include: Advising across the full spectrum of sport, real estate, acquisition, green energy and receivables financing; Drafting facility agreements/security documents; Drafting intercreditor agreements and priority arrangements; Assisting with negotiation of finance and ancillary documents; Dealing with complex closings (including condition precedent etc); Overseeing post-completion and conditions subsequent satisfaction. About You: You will be a England & Wales qualified solicitor with at least 1-year's post-qualification experience in Banking & Finance. This could be gained across a range of areas including Real Estate Finance, Debt Finance, Structured Finance and Corporate Lending. This is a broad role and you will be exposed to a range of different transactions, before specialising around 6-7PQE. You will be someone that is proactive, with a clear growth mindset and who relishes the idea of an environment without the hierarchy of 'Big Law', but with a clear career progression plan in plan at all levels.
