Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Family Practitioner for a Local Authority Client based in East London.
In this role, you will provide practical support to children and their families, promoting improved parenting capacity and ensuring children's developmental needs are met through holistic assessments and targeted interventions.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
Support the assessment of children and families through observation, direct work, interviews, and information gathering.
Work with families in their homes or other settings to monitor, assess risk, and assist in implementing agreed support plans.
Report any concerns about the quality of parenting or child safety to the line manager.
Prepare clear and concise written reports based on your work with families.
Manage your workload and plan work activities, prioritising tasks and responsibilities.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
Substantial experience in direct work with children and families.
Experience conducting holistic assessments of children's needs through observation, direct work, and interviews.
Experience implementing and monitoring support plans using evidence-based methodologies.
Experience participating in multi-agency meetings, including Child Protection Conferences and Looked After Children Reviews.
What's on offer:
Salary: £20ph+per hour
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday - Friday, 36 hours per week
