Our client is looking for a Team Leader to sit between the Data Centre Manager and the support and monitoring team. The role will suit someone who has a strong technical background, an understanding of monitoring and configuration and ideally a blend of Linux and Windows skills. In addition, you should have practical experience of work allocation and day to day leadership of a small support team. A relevant background would include: –

  • Strong technical ability with the ability to pass this on to junior members of staff
  • Experience within a Data Centre environment
  • Strong understanding of performance monitoring and capacity management (SolarWinds or similar)
  • A good understanding of security, antivirus and malware with the ability to proactively manage the infrastructure
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

The ideal candidate will have performed capacity management duties as part of a senior infrastructure role with previous experience of at least acting as a mentor to junior members of staff. The ability to act as the escalation point for complex technical issues is also very important.
