We are seeking a First Line IT Support Technician to provide general IT support across the Tyman UK&I division. This position is a customer focused role, where you will provide efficient first tier support to all colleagues, to prioritise the resolution of a broad range of IT and technical support requests.

What you'll be doing:

· Providing IT support, advice and guidance to end-users on a broad range of IT service requests.

· Assisting in the development and improvement of the division-wide support function.

· Assisting and supporting the IT Manager and wider team as required.

· Supporting with general hardware issues (laptops, PCs, servers, printers etc.)

· Providing support for standard software such as MS office 365, SharePoint and Windows 10/11

· Acting as administrator for systems such as end user backup system, signature software, asset inventory and auditing.

· Ensuring the IT support helpdesk is kept up to date and managing the system on a day-to-day basis.


What we’re looking for:

· Previous experience working in a 1st line IT support role or a relevant qualification in this field, such as CompTIA, CISCO or Microsoft.

· Good working knowledge of general Microsoft software and network connectivity including TCPIP/VPN/VLANs.

· Experience of Windows server, Hyper-V, Cisco Meraki, Esxi and Mimecast would be beneficial.

· A flexible approach, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure, to meet deadlines.

· The ability to work independently and within a team.

· Excellent communication skills, with a professional and proactive approach to customer service.
