Role Overview:
Key responsibilities include:
Drafting and negotiating building contracts, sub-contracts, security forms, appointments, and collateral warranties/third-party rights.nProviding expert advice on procurement methods, including design and build, traditional procurement, and construction management.nAssisting in the preparation and appraisal of amendments to standard forms of building contracts.nConducting negotiations with professional teams, building contractors, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders.nDeveloping bespoke forms of building contracts tailored to clients' specific needs and procurement requirements.
Ideal candidate:
UK qualified solicitor with 0-3 years of PQE.nCompletion of a non-contentious construction seat during legal training.nUK private practice experience is essential.nKnowledge or experience in commercial real estate is desirable but not essential.nDemonstrated interest in construction law and a willingness to develop expertise in this area.
Why Apply?
This role offers a flexible working arrangement, with the expectation of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote work per week. However, for the initial 4 weeks, candidates will be required to attend the office daily for induction, training, and to build relationships with colleagues and clients.
