The company prides itself on innovation and best practice and is seen as a market leader within its sector.nOverviewnAs Head of IT lead the Group IT function and:-nEnsure the Group’s IT operations are secure, stable, resilient and robustnMaximise the efficiency of the Group’s enterprise systems and utilise technology to implement innovative IT solutions which generate revenue and/or reduce costs for the Group.

The Role:nPeoplenDraft and lead the Group IT strategy.nManage, motivate, and develop your team to implement and achieve the Group IT strategynEngage effectively with stakeholders at Group and each subsidiary such as General Managers and IT operational leads

IT Operationsn· Ensure the Group’s IT operations are secure and run smoothly on a day-to-day basisn· Ensure operational resilience through IT risk management and governancen· Harden the Group’s IT infrastructure & operations to minimise the risk & impact of a cyber attackn· Purchase efficient and cost effective technological systems, equipment & software that meet the needs of the businessn· Implement and embed Group IT policies, procedures and systems to meet business objectivesn· Work with subsidiary companies to ensure local IT support is at the right capability level, establishing approval and change processes where requiredn· Manage the Group IT budgetn· Ensure IT initiatives and projects are implemented within agreed timescales and budgets

Enterprise Systemsn· Maximise the efficiency of the Group’s enterprise systems e.g. Syspro, Microsoft 365, to improve productivity & collaborationn· Maintain and support a high quality ERP system that is cost effective and works for the Group & subsidiaries

Innovative IT Solutionsn· Share & embed best practice around the Groupn· Analyse the business requirements of subsidiaries to determine their technology needs

The Personn• A proven track record in strategic planning and hands on experience in implementing and managing large scale, multi-site ITn• Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specificationsn• Good technical understanding of computer infrastructure, systems, networksn• A thorough understanding of Microsoft 365 applicationsn• Basic understanding of MVC, C# , Angular front, MSSQL Database and Redis)n• Microsoft SQL Server and reporting servicesn• Ability to successfully lead, empower, manage, and develop a teamn• Highly effective communicator and collaboratorn• Excellent prioritisation & project management skillsn• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems or a related fieldn• Hands on & a completer / finishern• Punctual & approachable

Ideally you will have experience in supporting, maintaining and upgrading ERP systems and ideally 3-5 years in a manufacturing or distribution environment)
