What does the Sales Director do?
This role gives full autonomy and leadership over a global sales team in a fast-growing company. You will be integral in driving business growth and direction. As a key member of the Senior Leadership team, you will be a dynamic and results-driven individual who will lead an established, experienced and highly enthusiastic sales team, across 3 distinct territories: EMEIA, North America, Asia Pacific. You will lead in driving revenue growth for our existing and newly developed products. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Sales Director will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the achievement of ambitious sales targets.
- Sales Strategy, Planning and Implementation
- Lead the Global Sales Team for the best in class Neuroscience research equipment market
- Set and achieve challenging growth targets
- Ensure consistency of sales progress across the key territories
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team.
- Multi-Relationship and Stakeholder Management (internal and external)
- Drive revenue growth through effective sales and marketing initiatives, including pricing strategies, promotions, and product launches.
- Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and make data-driven decisions to optimise sales strategies.
- Review and understand current market, in terms of; territory, product, industry trends and customer requirements
- Create and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets, routes to market and expand our customer base.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
Who are we looking for?
Experience
· Experienced in Sales within; Scientific equipment / life sciences / research equipment / medical devices / Research Technology or transferrable sectors is essential
· Experienced in International sales, for a global business
· Experienced reporting into or operating at Board-level
· Strong understanding of Grant-funded financing (our customers include; Pharmaceutical, Academia and top global Research Institutes.)
· Experience in high-level marketing
· Experience of International Shipping would be an advantage but not essential

· Confident communicator, able to work with diverse international internal and external stakeholders
· Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
· Sales and / or Marketing qualifications (formal or through training)
· Bachelors degree (Business, Science or related discipline)
· MBA is desirable but not essential
