Role Purpose

  • To deliver a high-quality repairs service to the residents of Homes for the council's public buildings, meeting organisational customer satisfaction and operational targets.
  • To ensure that a positive Health and Safety culture exists and all relevant legislation especially the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and related Approved Codes of Conduct are adhered to by staff and contractors



Responsibilities

  1. A member of the HRS management team, proactively contributes to HRS leadership, providing an expert view on property repairs.
  2. Setting high quality standards around repairs service delivery and value for money.
  3. Is a champion for the repairs service, bringing staff together from across the company around shared priorities, particularly in liaison with the call centre, I.T and housing management directorates, to ensure a seamless customer service.
  4. Participate as needed on the emergency out of hours rota.
  5. Be accountable for the responsive and associated repairs budget
  6. Responsible for driving up repairs performance and customer satisfaction along with productivity of the inhouse workforce



Requirements

  • Proven track record in managing repair services across a large and complex property portfolio.
  • Experience working in housing associations or councils
  • Strong experience of managing health and safety within a repairs environment
  • Strong working knowledge of legislation, compliance and regulatory obligations in respect of repair services.
  • Extensive experience of developing robust reporting and data frameworks and using trade software packages to ensure effective repair services.



Contract

  • Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend
  • PAYE via Umbrella
  • INSIDE IR35
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (Hybrid position)
