Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with ADHD? Do you have the skills and dedication to support their unique learning needs? We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, working with children in Key Stage 2 (KS2).
About the role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in ADHD support, you will play a vital role in assisting children with ADHD in KS2. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualized support plans, assist with classroom activities, and help students manage their behavior and focus on their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with ADHD in KS2.
Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive and structured learning environment.
Support the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of each child.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Utilize strategies to help students manage their ADHD symptoms and improve their focus and self-regulation.
Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
Previous experience working with children with ADHD or other special educational needs is essential
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children with ADHD
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Experience supporting children with SEN
