GSL Education are seeking a dedicated
**Teaching Assistant** to join our team in Greenwich and support our wonderful autistic students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized support, promoting inclusivity, and ensuring the students' educational journey is both enjoyable and successful.

**Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide 1:1 support to autistic students in the classroom, helping them to engage with the curriculum and participate in activities.
- Assist the class teacher in creating and implementing personalized learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student.
- Support students during social interactions and facilitate their integration into group activities.
- Help to develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to the class teacher, contributing to the overall assessment and evaluation process.

**Requirements**:

- A genuine passion for working with Autistic students and a commitment to their educational and emotional well-being.
- Previous experience or relevant special educational needs (SEN) qualifications would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Need to be physically fit and have strong presence and personality
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic classroom environment.
- Local to Greenwich or connecting boroughs on DLR
