Our client is seeking a reliable and responsible individual who will be involved in all aspects of the dispatch of goods produced by them for their clients via courier and delivery companies. You will be a key member of Dispatch and Packing Team and will be expected to implement best practice in all processes and ensure that the dispatch function operates efficiently and delivers excellence in service and in all respects.

You will have:
* Experience in managing high volumes of package deliveries or similar tasks
* Experience in using logistics company recording and tracking systems (preferable)
* Proficiency using MS office and Excel
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Numerate and detail orientated
Core Knowledge Base:
* Detailed knowledge of logistics company operations processes
* Good understanding of the company production and administration processes
Core Areas of Responsibility:
* Manage Courier company relationships
* Log and schedule all outbound dispatches
* Weigh, label and sort all outgoing packaging
* Ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of packages to clients
* Manage return packages
* Obtain POD’s
* Assisting with wrapping and packing parcels in preparation for dispatch
* General warehouse duties
Main Duties:
The successful candidate will receive and review purchase order requests from all departments and identify and select appropriate delivery methods. You will schedule dispatch timetable, log all packages on courier portal, assist with packing and wrapping and generally preparing parcels for delivery as well as accurately weighing and labelling packages and prepare for collection. You will oversee collection and ensure completeness and timely delivery of all packages, obtain POD’s where necessary for clients, receive and identify return packages, locate project lead, log and deliver package and you will be involved with warehouse and packing stock management duties when necessary. You will also be happy to assist in any administrative tasks when required.
Person Specification:
You will be numerate with excellent communication skills and you will be organised with the ability to multi task and manage time pressures, You will have the ability to remain calm during busy periods and have good attention to details. Experience within a high volume despatch environment is desirable.
40 hour week
