The role of the Micro Space Planner is truly cross-functional – you will be right at the centre of the business, leading and driving the commercial agenda. You’ll support the Micro Space Lead with developing ranges and creating planograms (and/or display guidelines) using the best visual merchandising principles which deliver optimal availability, sales and profit.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Analysis of data to ensure optimum range construction and ongoing improvement of the customer offer across multiple different categories
  • Creating planograms using in-house systems
  • Sales analysis, trend reporting and micro space analysis
  • Building internal relationships with trading, merchandising and operations.
  • Management of range and store grading to ensure right product in right store
  • Ensuring new and refitted stores have correct planograms for opening
  • Keep up to date on competitor ranges and display techniques


What we are looking for:

  • Ideally you will have relevant work experience in a visual merchandising or space planning role
  • Candidates will also be considered with relevant work experience in retail, advantageous if you have dealt with planograms in previous roles.
  • Sound working knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables/V-Look Ups) with the ability to interpret detailed reports
  • High level of numeracy
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong commercial skills and market interpretation
  • Excellent engaging, influencing, negotiating and presenting skills
